How Shotmizer Came to Be
Shotmizer was originally inspired by someone just like you, faced with a challenge.
In this case, that someone was a billion-dollar Fortune 500 company serving the respiratory segment in the healthcare market.
The Squeeze
Asthma sufferers require a precise dose of a liquid respiratory drug administered through a nebulizer breathing machine. The customer had begun marketing the drug in individual plastic vials, but struggled to justify the packaging costs.
So, they approached their representative at Eikenberry & Associates—Shotmizer’s parent company and a full-service plastic injection molder with tooling design and manufacture, injection molding and accredited dimensional inspection capabilities.
The Result
Eikenberry engineered the vial, developed a new way to manufacture it using an injection mold process, then built the mold and began producing the very first Shotmizer unit-dose package—all at a cost that cut the customer’s original packaging expense in half.
